Seeking
to include stone and more natural elements in my mosaics, I use the
ancient hammer and hardie.
Hand-cutting stone with these tools, I feel
connected to the centuries of mosaicists before me. While my art is
contemporary, the rich history and mosaic tradition inform the way I
work.
