| Kathy Thaden's degree in Commercial Art and study of fine arts led her to a career in broadcast design. For 25 years, Kathy worked in television as art director, animator, and graphic designer. Her primary focus was creating imagery for the video screen in addition to print and set design. Kathy, former president of the international Broadcast Designers Association, won numerous honors for design, including seven Emmy Awards. Through mosaics, Kathy’s creativity overflows into something more tactile, beyond the images she designs on the computer screen. Kathy's studio is in Colorado where her husband is an Episcopal priest. "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands — O prosper the work of our hands!"
